By the totals of the monitoring held by State Privatization Committee (SPC) of Azerbaijan, nearly 150 cases of illegal use of land have been revealed. Trend reports with reference to SPC release, 137 enterprises and facilities have been caught in this respect in Baku, 4 in Ganja, 2 in Sumgayit and 1 in Mingachevir. To eliminate such misuse, illegal construction operations of nearly 80 enterprises and facilities have been suspended based on court verdicts.
The special commission has been established to study utilization of governmental property and lands.
The workgroups within the commission should monitor use of rented lands, reveal illegally used facilities and so on. Nearly 240 land areas have been privatized in 2006.
