Kazakhstan's KazTransOil decreases oil transportation via its pipelines

The volume of oil transportation and handling by Kazakhstan’s KazTransOil (KTO) company’s main pipelines amounted to 10.5 million tons in 1Q2020, which is 535,000 tons less than during the same period of last year, Trend reports with reference to the company.

The non-consolidated oil turnover amounted 8.9 billion ton-kilometers, which is 347 million lower than during the same period of last year. The consolidated oil turnover made 10.7 billion ton-kilometers, which is 538 million less than in 1Q2019.

The volume of oil transportation by KTO pipelines to Kazakh refineries amounted to 4 million tons, which is 77,000 tons more than during the same period of 2019. This includes 1.4 million tons for Atyrau Refinery (increase by 158,000 tons), 1.2 million tons for Shymkent Refinery (decrease by 44,000 tons), 1.3 million tons to Pavlodar Refinery (decrease by 57,000 tons), and 110,000 tons to Aktau Bitumen Plant (increase by 20,000 tons).

The volume of oil transportation by Atyrau-Samara section of Uzen-Atyrau-Samara pipeline amounted to 3.3 million tons (decrease by 375,000 tons). The volume of oil transportation by Kazakh section of TON-2 pipeline made 2.7 million tons (increase by 68,000 tons). The volume of oil transshipment to Atasu-Alashankou pipeline made 2.4 million tons (decrease by 202,000 tons).

The volume of oil transshipment to the Caspian Pipeline Consortium-Kazakhstan pipeline amounted 378,000 tons (increase by 13,000 tons). The volume of oil transshipment to the tankers at the Port of Aktau using the KTO facilities amounted 528,000 tons (increase by 26,000 tons).

The volume of oil transportation by pipelines of Kazakhstan-China Pipeline Ltd amounted to 3.7 million tons (decrease by 265,000 tons). Oil turnover made up 3.3 billion ton-kilometers (decrease by 271 million).

The volume of oil transportation by MunaiTas Ltd. pipeline reached 556,000 tons (decrease by 268,000 tons). Oil turnover made 208 million ton-kilometers (decrease by 110 million ton-kilometers).

The volume of oil and petroleum products transshipment by the Batumi Oil Terminal LLC and Petrotrans Limited companies equaled 186,000 tons (decrease by 27,000 tons).

The volume of fresh water supply to the customers in Kazakhstan’s Atyrau and Mangistau regions via Astrakhan-Mangyshlak water pipeline of Main Waterline LLP amounted to 6.6 million cubic meters (increase by 231,000 cubic meters).
