This year Azerbaijan may obtain more gas from gas field Shah Deniz to get in operating in late September, Trend reports with reference to Azeri Ministry of Industry and Energy.
Such a situation arises unless Turkey manages to receive gas on Turkish-Georgian border, the ministry officials said. В"This may happen due to untimely completion of construction of Turkish section of SCP. Then a part of gas will be consumed by Azerbaijan, another part passed to GeorgiaВ", - the ministry representative said.
This year Turkey should have received some 500mln m3 of gas from Shah Deniz. Next year this amount will be raised to 4bn m3. Finally starting 2008 this amount will be raised to designed 6.6bn.
Shah Deniz gas price for Azerbaijan is $58 per 1k m3, while for Georgia $63 and for Turkey $120.
