The number of cyberattacks in Azerbaijan has increased, Trend reports, citing the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies of Azerbaijan.

The number of cyberattacks in the country has increased by 5-6 times compared to the same period in 2020, due to the large-scale provocation of Armenia at the front, that has started since September 27.

"Calls from foreign countries, hacking of webcams, mass attacks on routers and modems, attacks on news sites, forgery of social network accounts, phishing attacks are enemy provocations that we face almost every day," the ministry said in a statement.

In recent days, the number of requests in Azerbaijan has increased in connection with the blocking of Facebook users ' accounts.

The electronic security service of the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies urges users of the Facebook social network not to take the following actions to prevent blocking or canceling their accounts: creating fake accounts to present themselves as another person or organization; making transactions that violate intellectual property rights; using a personal account for business purposes; buying and selling firearms, alcoholic beverages and tobacco products among individuals; purchase and sale of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances and other actions.
