Trend:

The well-known Irish airline Ryanair plans to start flights from Tbilisi, said George Chogovadze, General Director of the United Airports of Georgia, Trend reports.

As Chogovadze noted, the agreement will be drawn up in the near future and signed officially.

Chogovadze also stated that Raynair is supposed to launch flights not only from Tbilisi, an International Airport in Kutaisi is also being considered.

“Following the command from PM (Mamuka Bakhtadze), we have leveled up negotiations with Ryanair. These negotiations are almost finished. In the near future we will most likely sign a contract. But at this point, I don’t find it appropriate to discuss anything about the subject in advance. We are in the process of on-going negotiations so the customers can fly with Ryanair airline from Tbilisi and Kutaisi Airports,” said Chogovadze.
