The Su-27 fighter jet of the Kazakh Air Forces crashed during a training flight, Kazakh Defense Ministry's press service said Sept. 24.
"The search operations revealed the crash site," according to a message from the ministry.
"Searches are underway to find the pilots. A special commission was set up to investigate the causes of the accident," said the message.
Reportedly, the contact with the Su-27 was lost on Sept. 23 at around 20:42 (UTC/GMT +6 hours) during the training flights.
