Iran's South Pars field is able to produce 300 million cubic meters of gas daily, SHANA reported, quoting South Pars Managing Director Ali Akbar Shabanpour.

"South Pars gas production capacity has reached 280 million cubic meters per day, of which 192 million cubic meters will be injected to the general network", he said.

By launching Phases 15 through 18, there will be eight South Pars refineries operating, allowing for higher employment in the workforce.

Iran South Pars oil and gas field is one of the largest in the world, predicting up to $130 billion in revenues per year.

The South Pars oil and gas field covers an area of 3,700 square kilometers. It is located 3,000 meters below the seabed.

Known as the world's largest gas field, South Pars holds an estimated 50.97 trillion cubic meters of gas and some 50 billion barrels of condensates.
