US President Barack Obama condemned Friday's suicide attacks on Moscow's subway system and expressed solidarity with the Russian people, DPA reported.
"The American people stand united with the people of Russia in opposition to violent extremism and heinous terrorist attacks that demonstrate such disregard for human life," Obama said.
"We condemn these outrageous acts," the president said in a statement issued by the White House.
Two female suicide bombers were believed to have carried out the blasts which claimed more than 35 lives at two Metro train stations in the Russia capital.
The president offered his condolences to those who were injured in the attacks and his sympathy to relatives of the victims.
