Turkey reveals volume of transshipment of goods from Georgia

BAKU, Azerbaijan, Nov. 14

The transshipment of goods from Georgia through the ports of Turkey amounted to 1.99 million tons from January through September 2020, the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure of Turkey told Trend.

From January through September 2020, the volume of cargo transshipment from Georgia by ships flying the Turkish flag amounted to 725,552 tons, and by ships flying the flags of other countries - 1.27 million tons.

During this period, the volume of transshipment of goods in transit from Georgia through the ports of Turkey amounted to 1.12 million tons.

From January through September 2020, the volume of cargo transshipment through the ports of Turkey amounted to 270.57 million tons.

The volume of cargo transshipment by ships flying the Turkish flag amounted to 21.72 million tons, under the flags of their countries - 10.05 million tons, and under the flags of other countries - 238.79 million tons.

During this period, 54.49 million tons of cargo were transited through the ports of Turkey.

In September 2020, the volume of cargo transshipment through the ports of Turkey amounted to 31.17 million tons.

The volume of cargo transshipment by ships flying the Turkish flag amounted to 2.76 million tons, by ships flying the flags of their countries - 1.01 million tons, and under the flags of other countries - 27.40 million tons.

According to the ministry, in September 2020, 6.23 million tons of cargo were transported in transit through the ports of Turkey.
