German TV production company Brainpool gave an explanation with regard to a worker's injury at Baku Crystal Hall.
The employee who worked on the stage area was injured during preparations for the Eurovision song contest which will be held in Azerbaijan this year, the website of the competition said on Wednesday.
Brainpool noted that the incident occurred due to a fall of big boards at the arena. The wounded man was immediately taken to hospital where he was examined. Relatives of the injured have been informed of the incident. He feels good at the moment.
The head of Brainpool, Joerg Grabosh said that everything is being done for the speedy recovery of the employee.
"The incident was investigated and we came to the conclusion that it occurred, in spite of compliance with all safety measures. Security has always been our top priority," Grabosh said.
