The chairman of Azerbaijani parliament's regional affairs committee, Arif Rahimzade accused some international organizations of dishonesty.
Rahimzade, speaking at a meeting of the committee on Sept. 26, accused a number of international organizations, including the Council of Europe and the European Parliament, of a biased attitude towards Azerbaijan.
He said the mentioned organizations' claims about the processes in Azerbaijan, including the activities of municipalities, are not true.
"They claim that Azerbaijan's municipalities have a lot of problems," Rahimzade noted.
"We don't say there are no problems at all, yes, there are some. But at the same time, we say that because of the occupation of our lands, over a million of internally displaced persons do not have local government bodies and municipalities. How come no one speaks about that? That's unfair!" he said.
"In such circumstances, one should not talk about the shortcomings, because in this case, we know who is who," Rahimzade said.
