Onions greatly increased in price among other vegetables since March 21 till April 22 of this Iranian year (started on March 21, 2019), Trend reports referring to the Iranian Statistical Center’s report.
Thus, the price of onions increased by 459.5 percent during the reporting period of last Iranian year compared to the same period of the previous year.
According to the report, the price of onions increased by 143.3 percent, potatoes - by 59.1 percent while oranges - by 25.5 percent during the reporting period.
Eggs fell in price by 4.1 percent, while broiler chicken - by 2.8 percent.
