Leadership of Azerbaijani Computer Company to hold Talks in Georgia

Azerbaijan, Baku / corr Trend S.Babayeva / The leadership of Azerbaijani computer producing company KUR with its headquarters in Mingachevir, will pay a working visit to Georgia. Rizvan Osmanov, head of KUR, said that the visit targets search of partners in Georgia to promote the products in this country.

The company is keen on fining partners so that to enter the Georgian market and afterwards to consider opportunities for opening its representation in Georgia.

Head of the enterprise said that during the visit scheduled for end of August it is planned to hold talks with two companies operating in Georgia. It is also planned to study and discuss the opportunities and position of these on further cooperation.

In 2007 KUR plans to increase the volume of sale through opening new centers. The company has ten sales offices in nine cities and regions of the republic, with two of them located in Baku and the rest in Ganja, Mingachevir, Sumgayit, Goranboy, Aghdash, Goychay, Sheki and Yevlakh. The plant sells 30% of its products through these centers.

In 2005 enterprise manufactured 4,350 computers and in 2006 - 11,930. the volume of sale increased by 2.7 times through corporate clients in 2006 as compared to 2006.

The enterprise produced 3,500 computers in the first quarter of 2007 and is planning to produce 15,000 computers this year (4,000 more than last year).

KUR is a joint venture, the major part of which belongs to the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology of Azerbaijan and the Azerbaijani company Sinam.
