Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan have agreed on the joining of information and communication telecommunication networks at the border between the two countries, Trend reports citing Kazakh media.
According to the information, the document confirming this agreement was signed during the visit of the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev to Turkmenistan on October 25.
During the negotiations, the parties noted that trade and economic cooperation serves as the core of the Kazakh - Turkmen multifaceted ties.
As a result of the negotiations, a list of bilateral documents was signed, one of which was an agreement of intent to build a cable border crossing and docking of information and communication telecommunication networks of Jusan Mobile JSC and Turkmentelecom on the border of Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan.
