SIEMENS AG modernizing thermal power plants in Uzbekistan’s Tashkent

Four thermal power plants are planned to be modernized in Uzbekistan’s Tashkent city in cooperation with SIEMENS AG in accordance with the modern requirements, Trend reports on April 16 referring to the Uzbek media.

This project will be implemented with the participation of Stone City company.

A meeting with representatives of SIEMENS AG was held in the local administration building of Tashkent city on April 16.

Governor of Tashkent city Jakhongir Artikhodjaev, Energy Minister Alisher Sultanov, Deputy Minister of Housing and Communal Services Nazirjon Nazirov, Director of SIEMENS AG Christian Bruch and other officials attended the meeting.

The cooperation with SIEMENS AG in the field of energy, in particular, the construction of power plants and thermal stations, the development of hydrogen fuel and a number of other spheres was discussed at the meeting.

A number of ministries of the country and the administration of Tashkent city are ready to establish relations with SIEMENS AG on the basis of public-private partnership.

Joint projects will develop not only through the introduction of equipment and technologies, but also through joint work.

If necessary, service centers will be opened to maintain the German equipment and local specialists will be trained.

SIEMENS AG is also one of the leaders in the development of alternative energy and hydrogen fuel.

In this regard, the cooperation in these spheres is also promising and all the discussed issues to be signed with officials of SIEMENS AG will be included in the agreements.
