Baku Metro will ensure good passenger transportation in Baku during Eurovision-2012 song contest, spokesperson for Baku Metro Nazakat Tanriverdiyeva told Trend on Thursday.
"Baku metro employees have attended special courses to help them work with the influx of foreign tourists," she said. She added that Baku metro has a distinctive approach to security measures.
"Security, as always, will be guaranteed at a high level during the contest," she said.
Regarding the schedule of Baku Metro during Eurovision-2012, she stressed that a special work system can be introduced at the behest of any decision taken by Baku Metro's head. The metro system has been working since 1967 and has 23 stations.
The 57th Eurovision Song Contest will be held in the Baku Crystal Hall near the State Flag Square. The semi-finals will be held in Baku on May 22 and May 24 and the final on May 26.
The logo for the 2012 Eurovision Song Contest is 'Fire Flower', while the motto is Light your fire.
Azerbaijan won the right to host the prestigious European song contest after the victory of Eldar Gasimov and Nigar Jamal (Ell / Nikki) at Eurovision 2011 in Dusseldorf, Germany last May.
