Azerbaijan, Baku / corr. Trend S.Ilhamgizi / The Baku City Executive Power did not given permission to the Azerbaijan National Independence Party (ANIP) to hold a demonstration in front of the Iranian Embassy on 27 April.

The Executive Power explained that the reason for this refusal was the busy traffic and the people that would cause obstruction on the road in front of the Embassy building.

ANIP is protesting against the violation of the rights of the Azerbaijanis residing in Iran and repressions against the activists of the National Movement of South Azerbaijan. The party has insisted on conducting the demonstration in front of the Iranian Embassy.

ANIP was created in 1992.
