Azerbaijan, Baku, 25 February / Trend / Haji Hajiyev, 89, a well-known Azerbaijani journalist and Chairman of the Azerbaijani Journalists Association, has died.
Hajiyev suffered a heart attack a few days a go. He was hospitalized and in spite of the doctor's efforts, Hajiyev passed away.
Hajiyev was born in Baku. He worked on the Azerbaijani Youth newspaper, state TV and radio, headed the Azerbaijani Journalists Association from 1988 to 2006, and had been the organization chairman since 2006.
