Criminal person accused of committing serious crimes under trial in Azerbaijan

Trial over criminal person accused of committing serious crimes has begun in Azerbaijan.
The Serious Crimes Court held preliminary hearing on Rovshan Janiyev's criminal case, who is well-known as Rovshan Lankaranski in the criminal world.
The judicial review is scheduled for Feb.5.
Janiyev accused of committing various serious crimes was arrested in Kiev Dec.3, 2009. He was extradited from Ukraine to Azerbaijan on Dec.13.
Janiyev is charged with Article 94 (deliberate murder) of the Criminal Code which was in force till 2000.
Janiyev was wanted in connection with serious crimes as illegal carrying of arm and murder. He is one of the main criminal persons in the Caucasus. Ukraine's Migration Service grant asylum to Janiyev wanted by police. It was a reason of the scandal in the country.
Ukraine's authorities cancelled the decision to grant political asylum to Janiyev several days before his arrest.
