Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia (CICA) develops an action plan on information and communication technologies for 2011-2012, executive director of the CICA Dulat Bakishev said in Baku March 12.
"South Korea plans to hold a workshop for a discussion of specific technical issues," Bakishev said.
Till 2007, the CICA dealt with development of legal base in the sphere of economy. It is planned to hold business forum for small business members of the organization in Bangkok (Thailand) in September, 2010.
On transport projects is also expected to coordinate an action plan which will aim to simplify transportation. According to Bakishev, at the same time this plan will not contradict other major projects, such as, for example TRACECA. The talks on this matter will be held in late April at the next meeting of the CICA.
CICA - forum is based on an understanding of the close ties between peace, security and stability in Asia and around the world. CICA was founded at the initiative of Kazakstani President Nursultan Nazarbayev in 1992 The organization includes Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, China, Egypt, India, Iran, Israel, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, United Arab Emirates, Pakistan, Palestine, South Korea, Russia, Tajikistan, Thailand, Turkey, Uzbekistan and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
