9M2020 physical volume of Kazakhstan's GDP drops year-on-year

Physical volume of Kazakhstan’s GDP amounted to 45.8 trillion tenge ($109.05 billion based on current exchange rate) over 9M2020, which is 2.8 percent less than during the same period of 2020, Trend reports with reference to Kazakhstan’s Statistics Committee.

Some 53.9 percent of the total GDP value account for paid services, 40 percent account for goods manufacturing, and 6.1 percent account for net tax.

The volume of goods manufacturing amounted to 18.3 trillion tenge ($43.6 billion) over the reporting period of 2020, which is 2.2 percent more than over 9M2019.

Of this amount, 13.2 trillion tenge ($31.5 billion) accounts for goods produced in industry, which is 0.2 percent more than in 9M2019; 2.7 trillion tenge ($6.6 billion) - for construction sphere, which is 10.5 percent more; and 2.3 trillion tenge ($5.5 billion) - for agriculture, fishery and forestry, which is 5 percent more than in 9M2019.

In turn, 24.6 trillion tenge ($58.7 billion) of Kazakhstan’s GDP accounted for services, which is 6.1 percent less than in 9M2019.

Net tax stood at 2.7 trillion tenge ($6.6 billion) of GDP, which is 4.8 percent less than during the same period of last year.
