Iran sees increase in exports to Turkey

TEHRAN, Iran, April 26. Iran's export to Turkey increased 141 percent, said Iran-Turkey Joint Chamber of Commerce Mehrdad Saadat, Trend reports citing IRNA.

"The government is expected to develop ties with neighboring countries especially facilitating trade with Turkey," he said.

Iran's export to Turkey reached $6.1 billion in the last Iranian year (started March 21, 2021) showing 141 percent growth compared to 2020, while imports from Turkey has 20 percent growth to $5.3 billion.

He went on to say that the Iranian government and private sector can use the advantage of Turkey to promote economic activities.

Iran-Turkey Joint Chamber of Commerce is holding exhibitions and meetings to showcase the investment opportunities and create the ground to familiarize Iranian and Turkish businessmen.
