Aviation fuel imports to Georgia decrease

The import of aviation fuel to Georgia amounted to 4,400 tons from October 2020, which is 300 tons less than in September, the Union of Oil Product Importers of Georgia told Trend.

In September, the import of aviation oils amounted to 4,700 tons.

Reportedly, 77.3 percent (3,400 tons) of aviation fuel imports fell on Turkmenistan, 22.7 percent (1,000 tons) in Turkey.

From January through October, imports of aviation fuel amounted to 47,500 tons, which is 35,500 tons or 42.8 percent less than the same period last year (83,000 tons).

In January through October 2020, 79.2 percent (37,600 tons) of aviation fuel imports fell on Turkmenistan, 16.2 percent (7,700 tons) - on Turkey, 4.6 percent (2,200 tons) on Romania.

The decline in aviation fuel imports is associated with the coronavirus pandemic.
