The spokesman of the Civil Aviation Organization of Iran Mohammad Hassan Zibakhsh said that the tourism flights to Turkey are banned, and the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Tourism of Iran must follow up on travel agencies' violations in promoting tours to Turkey, Trend reports citing IRNA.
“The CAO has reduced its flights to/from, Turkey to a minimum, compared to the agreement between the two countries,” Zibakhsh said.
Zibakhsh emphasized that only necessary and commercial flights are operated between the two countries.
“Despite the advertisements of travel agencies and discounts on travels to Turkey, there are no attractions for tourists due to the closure and quarantine of Turkish cities,” Zibakhsh said.
According to the Interior Ministry, and the National Headquarters for Coronavirus Control in Iran, the tourist tours to Turkey have been canceled until further notice.
