Azerbaijan, Baku / corr. Trend S.Ilhamgizi / The Chairman of Karabakh Liberation Organization (KLO), Akif Nagi, said on 19 April that KLO has prepared a plan regarding the 15th anniversary of the occupation of Shusha city of Azerbaijan. He stressed that the Armenian separatists are using various methods to appropriate Karabakh to the point of attracting foreign companies so as to realize their goal and falsify the history of Shusha.

KLO will hold various events in Baku and other districts and cities of Azerbaijan. The plan will be confirmed at the KLO Higher Assembly on 28 April. "In addition, appeals will be made to the international organizations. Our goal is to uncover Armenia's propaganda. The event will begin on 6 May. On 8 May, Occupation Day of Shusha, we will visit Martyr's Avenue in Baku," Nagi said.

In addition, KLO will appeal to the Parliament of Azerbaijan to announce 8 May as the Day of Occupied Territories of Azerbaijan.

Armenia has occupied 20% of the Azerbaijani land including the Nagorno-Karabakh region and seven surrounding Districts. Since 1992 to the present time, these territories have been under the occupation of the Armenian Forces. In 1994, Azerbaijan and Armenia signed a cease-fire agreement at which time the active hostilities ended.

The Karabakh Organization Committee (KLO) was founded in Baku on 28 January 2000 with the aim of conducting a public struggle for the liberation of Nagorno-Karabakh from the Armenian occupants. The organization, headed by Akif Nagi, the candidate in historical sciences, unites over 10,000 people, including outstanding representatives of intelligentsia, refugees and internally displaced people, youth, former fighters, senior ranking officers in reserve, as well as different social segments of the population.
