Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr. S.Agayeva / Some 1,364,520cu m of the Azerbaijani territories have been demined in July 2007, the Azerbaijani National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA) has reported.
Some 5,441 mines were found and neutralized. Thirty dog mine-detectors and 339 employees were involved in the process.
Since establishing ANAMA in Azerbaijan has demined about 53, 818, 309 cu m of territories. The total number of found and neutralized mines and PHS is 274, 827.
As a result of 89 mine explosions 55 men died and 124 were injured.
