Azeri fishing boat detained in the Caspian Sea

Russian border guards have detained and brought to Mahachkala port the Azerbaijani vessel suspected in poaching. The fishing boat Churon has been detained in the central part of the Caspian Sea by the marine guard ship, RSN reports.

The vessel is singed to the Baku port, has a tonnage of 86t and crew of 8 persons; all are Azerbaijani citizens. A half ton of sturgeon fish, 30 boxes of sprats and 30kg of dried fish have been discovered at the vessel. The fate of the crew and vessel will be decided after the investigation.
