More than 6,300 PCs sold within People's Computer Project

More than 6,300 personal computers were sold within the People's Computer Project, HP reported.

Computers provided within the People's Computer Project are offered to secondary school teachers. The project sells PCs on interest-free loans for up to 12 months for 25-40 percent less than the market value. It is expected to expand the project for high school teachers and students in 2010.

The project is being realized by HP and Microsoft. Bestcomp Group Company supplies the computers.  

Since early 2010, KUR plant producing computer technique and developer of antivirus software Symantec Company are involved in the project. Their products are offered to customers in addition. According to the company Symantec, over 2,500 licensed anti-virus programs were implemented in the next phase of the project.
