Uzbekistan is among the countries that are within the scope of Turkish GOSB overseas investments, Turkish company told Trend in an interview.

GOSB is an Organized Industrial Zone (OIZ) which offers quality services to the participants with its modern, dynamic, innıvative and friendly approach, which supports the production process of the industry, which is equipped with technology, which carries out permanent and exemplary projects.

Earlier it was reported that a modern organized industrial zone based on European standards, with an area of more than 100 hectares would be created in the Sergeli district of Tashkent.

The company added that OIZs are operating in compliance with the provisions of this Law in order to ensure that the industry gets structured in approved areas, to prevent unplanned industrialization and environmental problems, to guide urbanization, to utilize resources rationally, to benefit from information and informatics technologies, and to ensure that the types of industries are placed and developed within the framework of a certain plan.

GOSB stressed that the company is a highly recognized organized industrial zone in Turkey, differentiating from the others by the high-quality services it provides to the companies located within.

In order to extend the borders of the service area to the other countries, it is aimed to establish an OIZ in neighboring countries, similar to GOSB in terms of the range and the quality of the services.

“We are meeting with different countries within the scope of GOSB overseas investments. Our project is implementing and establishing Turkish OIZ Model in foreign countries. Uzbekistan is among these countries, but no formal decision has been made yet," said the company.

In Turkey OSB management handles all operations of the industrial zone, such as managing the services for manufacturers (energy, utilities, administrative procedures regarding building and operational permits, consultancy on international trade and investment legislation as well as incentive schemes, initiating programs for human resources, etc.)

Investors do not contact local authorities or administrations. They apply to OIZ for all the infrastructure needs. The company noted that their aim is to determine potential partnership opportunities and private investment firms to create valuable and sustainable business models.

GOSB was established in 1986 in order to discipline and enhance the industry in Gebze region of Turkey. The company is the first Organized Industrial Zone in Turkey and the world. Currently, GOSB has 161 companies (42 foreign companies) in 187 industrial plots and more than 25.000 employees. GOSB leads the development of industry in Turkey.
