In the western Kazakhstan province, strong winds blew out the roofs from two dozen homes in villages, the Kazakh Emergency Situations Ministry said on Monday.
"Strong winds moving at 20-25 meters per second blew out the roofs of 17 houses in the Aksugum village, and seven houses and a secondary school in the Socialism village, at 5:23 p.m. on Aug. 13", the ministry said.
An emergency district commission was created on-site.
