BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 30. The amount of mutual trade between Kazakhstan and Russian Astrakhan amounted to $17 million in 2021, Trend reports with reference to the Telegram channel of the press service of the Kazakh Embassy in Russia.
The working trip of Kazakh Ambassador to Russia Yermek Kosherbaev to the Astrakhan region took place. A wide range of issues was discussed with the Governor of Astrakhan Igor Babushkin across the entire spectrum of cooperation during the meeting.
The interlocutors noted positive dynamics in trade turnover between Kazakh regions and the Astrakhan region, and Kazakhstan is one of the ten leading trade and economic partners of the Astrakhan region.
The figure of mutual trade amounted to almost $17 million last year, which is 25 percent more than in the previous year.
At the same time, the potential of mutual trade has not yet been fully exploited, and therefore, it is necessary to continue working towards further expanding economic contacts and increasing trade turnover.
