BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 7. Kazakhstan’s national gas company QazaqGaz launched construction of the second line of the Beineu-Zhanaozen gas pipeline, Trend reports, citing the press service of QazaqGaz.
A symbolic welding of the first joint took place in the Mangistau region.
The total length of the second line of the gas pipeline will be 308 km, and the throughput capacity will be 5.8 billion cubic meters per annum.
According to the Chairman of the Board of QazaqGaz, Sanzhar Zharkeshov, the implementation of the project will ensure a stable gas supply to the settlements of the Mangystau region, as well as preventing emergencies and eliminating the risk of gas supply interruptions as a strategically important service to the population of the area.
