Informal EurAsEc summit to open in Russia on August 16

(Kazinform) - Informal summit of Eurasian Economic Community (EurAsEc) at the level of the heads of the states will take place on August 16 in Sochi city. Kazakh leader N. Nazarbayev will participate in the meeting as well, reports Trend.

It is expected that within the talks presidents of the community states will discuss some aspects on formation of Customs Union. Russian President Vladimir Putin, EurAsEc Secretary General Grigory Rapota, CSTO Secretary General Nikolai Bordyuzha will make speeches on this and many other issues.

Following the results of the sitting the heads of EurAsEc member countries will give joint press conference.

It is known that previous sitting took place in Minsk, Byelorussia. The community formed in October 2000 in Astana city includes Kazakhstan, Russia, Byelorussia, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. Ukraine, Moldova and Armenia have status of observers in the organization.
