BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 13. The trade turnover between Kyrgyzstan and Germany amounted to $24.4 million in January 2023, which is an increase of 7.1 times over the same period of 2022 ($3 million), Trend reports with reference to the State Custom Agency of Kyrgyzstan.

The value of Kyrgyzstan's imports from Germany made up $26.6 million. The figure increased by 7.8 times compared to $3 million in January 2022.

The value of exports from Kyrgyzstan to Germany totaled $809,300 in the reporting period, increasing by 1.8 times over $433,200 in January 2022.

Meanwhile, the trade turnover between Kyrgyzstan and Germany amounted to $180 million from January through December 2022, which is an increase of 2.4 times compared to $75 million in 2021.

The exports from Kyrgyzstan to Germany in the reporting period made up $15.7 million, which is an increase of 26 percent compared to $12 million in 2021.

At the same time, the German exports to Kyrgyzstan amounted to $164.6 million in 2022, facing a considerable increase of 2.6 times over the same period of 2021 ($63 million).

Germany is one of the most important partners of Kyrgyzstan in Europe. Germany mainly exports motor vehicles, machinery and chemical products (pharmaceuticals and cosmetics) to Kyrgyzstan. Meanwhile, Kyrgyzstan exports agricultural products to Germany.
