Ukrainian manufacturers of engineering, food, chemical and pharmaceutical products are interested in entering the Turkmen market, Trend reports citing the Turkmen ORIENT news agency.
This was discussed at an online briefing on doing business in Turkmenistan.
The event, organized with the support of the Directorate of Economic Diplomacy and the Council of Exporters and Investors of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, was hosted by the Ukrainian Ambassador to Turkmenistan Viktor Maiko.
The diplomat spoke about the opportunities and prospects for Ukrainian business in Turkmenistan, described the main stages of entering the Turkmen market.
He also noted that Turkmenistan is the main trade and economic partner of Ukraine in Central Asia.
During the event, representatives of Ukrainian companies were informed about how to register a representative office or branch of a company in the territory of Turkmenistan, arrange the export and import of goods and services, take part in tenders, license their activities, find partners and distributors in the local market.
Ukraine considers Turkmenistan as one of the key partners in Central Asia. At the end of 2020, the trade turnover between the two countries amounted to $85.5 million.
