Iranian FM calls for active, innovative diplomacy
Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki asked ambassadors of the Islamic Republic of Iran to apply active diplomacy and innovative approaches in the cooperation with other nations, Press TV reported.
Mottaki praised the experienced and qualified employees of the Foreign Ministry, calling them a major achievement of Iran in recent years.
Mottaki also asked ambassadors to pay attention to the solution of problems and issues related to Iranian emigrants living abroad.
The Iranian FM held a one-week meeting reviewing foreign policy, achievements and prospects for the future Feb. 27 with the ambassadors of Iran.
Iranian FM representatives took part in meetings with the Islamic Revolution leader Ayatollah Ali Hamnei, President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, as well as several cabinet ministers and other senior officials.
