Colombian foreign minister calls for expansion of ties with Iran

( IRNA ) - Colombian Foreign Minister Fernando Araujo in Bogota called for expansion of ties with Iran in all political, economic and cultural fields.

In a meeting with Iran's Ambassador to Bogota Ahmad Pabarja, he said Colombia intends to promote its cooperation with Iran in all fields particularly in economic and cultural areas.

He called on Iran to make investment in his country's industrial projects and dispatch trade and economic delegations to that Latin American state.

The minister praised Iranian culture and civilization and welcomed holding an exhibition of Iranian antiques in Bogota.

The exhibition is currently being held at Mexico City while other Latin American states expect its opening in their cities.
