Iran’s startups to assist Abadan Refinery

TEHRAN, Iran, September 5. Iran’s startups in the field of the oil industry to support Abadan Refinery in manufacturing pumps, equipment, and spare parts, said the CEO of Abadan Oil Refining Company Hakim Ghayem, Trend reports citing IRNA.

Startups are ready to supply Abadan Refinery’s needs by offering advanced technologies and creating jobs, he said during a conference meeting.

The partnership of innovative and Startups with the oil industry would expand domestic production and lead to the export of equipment, he noted.

Abadan Oil Refining Company hosted a conference meeting on self-sufficiency in manufacturing spare parts and pumps that was attended by 40 Startups.

Abadan Refinery is the oldest refinery in Iran that supplies 25 percent of the country’s fuel needs and processes 400,000 barrels of crude oil per day into oil products.
