Candidate from Opposition Promised Azerbaijani Voters to Open Sadakhlo Market in   Georgia

Georgia, Tbilisi, 10 May / Trend corr. N.Kirtskhalia / Bejan Gunava, a candidate for the parliamentary elections from the United Opposition of Georgia, held a meeting in the Marneuli region thickly populated with Azerbaijanis and promised in the case of his election in the upcoming parliamentary elections to open the closed Sadakhlo market.

On 9 May, Gunava held protest action before the closed market and demanded to open it soon. Gunava broke the doors of the market and promised to population that he would open the market if he would succeed in the elections.

The candidate stated that about 4,500 people worked in the market and benefits most population.

Sadakhlo was closed a year ago. The reason for closing of the market was gang trafficking.
