The duty for the use of Borjomi and Nabeghlavi mineral springs will increase in Georgia in October 2013, a Georgian parliamentary decision, adopted at the third hearing, said.

According to the current law "On Fees for the use of natural resources", the fee for the use of Borjomi is 10 laris ($ 1 = 1.65 lari) per cubic meter of water, the source of Nabeghlavi is six laris per cubic meter.

After making changes to the law, the fee increased three-fold, respectively, the duty on Borjomi reached 30 laris per cubic meter, and the Nabeghlavi - 18 laris.

The authors of this legislative initiative are the Georgian Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development and the Department of Natural Resources of Georgia.

The changes will come into effect in October 2013.
