The number of tourists from Kazakhstan traveling to Georgia from January through September 2021 increased by 303.9 percent to 48,172 visitors, compared to 11,927 people over the same period of 2020, Trend reports via Georgian National Tourism Administration.
Meanwhile, the same indicator of 2021 decreased by 35.6 percent, compared to the reporting period of 2019, when 74,794 people visited Georgia from Kazakhstan.
Thus, Kazakhstan ranks 8 among TOP-10 main countries of origin for tourists arriving in Georgia, the report said.
The total number of incoming international visitors to Georgia decreased by 18.5 percent to 1.3 million people over first 9 months of 2021, compared to 1.5 million over the same period of 2020.
According to the statistics, the current indicator dropped by 82 percent, compared to 7.2 million visitors from January through September 2019.
