Fourteen companies with Turkmen capital were registered in Turkey from January through March 2021, which is 2 companies more compared to the same period of 2020, the Turkish Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges (TOBB) told Trend.
According to TOBB, in the reporting period, the total capital of Turkmen companies registered in Turkey made up 5.36 million liras ($643,900), as compared to 2.44 million liras ($293,000) in the first quarter of 2020. All the Turkmen companies were registered in Istanbul.
"One of the companies with Turkmen capital registered in the first 3 months of 2021 in Turkey were the companies that are engaged in the construction sector, 9 companies - in wholesale and retail trade, and one company – in the transport sector," said TOBB.
"The remaining companies with Turkmen capital operate in other sectors of the economy," TOBB said.
