The volume of tangerines imported to Uzbekistan from 11 foreign countries from January through November 2020 in physical terms amounted to countries 23,800 tons, Trend reports referring to the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan.
At the same time, the volume of tangerines imported to Uzbekistan in value terms accounted for $4 million, which is $2.8 million less compared to the same period last year.
The committee’s report presented the leading countries in the import of tangerines to Uzbekistan over the past 11 months. Official statistics show that the cheapest tangerines in the country come from Pakistan.
Uzbekistan received an estimated 20,000 tons of tangerines from Pakistan worth $19,500 for eleven months of this year.
Pakistan is followed by China, whose tangerines import to Uzbekistan in physical terms amounted to 2,200 tons, while in value terms this figure accounted for $911,400.
The import of tangerines from Turkey and Egypt amounted to 1,300 tons worth $706,600 and 214 tons worth $147,500, respectively.
Furthermore, Kazakhstan began to import tangerines to Uzbekistan, supplying 156 tons of tangerines worth $56,900.
