BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 9. The volume of trade turnover between Türkiye and Turkmenistan for 2022 has been published, Trend reports citing the Turkish Statistical Institute.
According to the information, during the reporting period, the trade turnover amounted to $2.06 billion, which is 21.8 percent more than in 2021 ($1.69 million).
Turkmenistan's exports to Türkiye amounted to $967 million last year, which is 36 percent more than in the same period of 2021 ($710.8 million).
Turkmenistan increased imports from Türkiye by 11.7 percent in 2022 compared to the same period in 2021 ($984.4 million) - up to $1.1 billion.
In general, Türkiye's trade turnover in 2022 amounted to $ 617.88 billion. Thus, Turkmenistan ranked 3-rd in Central Asia in terms of the number of Türkiye's foreign trade partners after Kazakhstan ($5.12 billion) and Uzbekistan ($3.55 billion).
